Fall men’s study: church history

This fall, the men will be doing an introduction to church history using Sinclair Ferguson’s In the Year of Our Lord. Books are available on Amazon for around $15. The history of the Christian church is an incredibly valuable resource for understanding current times, topics, and temptations as believers. The study will be Tuesday evenings from 6:15-8:15, beginning September 24.

Fall women’s study: A Women of Noble Character

Join the women of Roots this fall as they study A Women of Noble Character. Study will be Wednesdays from 6:15-8:15, beginning September 25. There is no cost for the material, but let Anlee know if you plan on attending so we can get you a copy before the first session.

October women’s event

Women of ALL ages are invited October 26th, 6:30-8, to dessert and coffee in the fellowship hall. This is a low-key way of getting to know the ladies of the church. Bring a dessert to share (no peanuts please). Coffee and tea will be provided.

2019 Chili Chowder Cook-off

For the third year in a row, we will have a booth at the Camano Chamber of Commerce’s Chili and Chowder cook-off. This is an exciting community event that draws over 1,000 people, with 24 local businesses participating. Award are given for best chili, best chowder, and best booth decor. The event is Saturday, November 9 from 3-7. To make this happen, we currently need: a chili or chowder recipe suggestion, 3-4 people willing to make 4-5 gallons of chili or chowder, and people willing to take a shift serving at the event.
