| The work at our new space is finally coming along enough to set a reasonable date for our first service. We are aiming for first Sunday service in the space being September 22 at 10:30 am! That being said, we have a lot of work to do before then. The contractor side of the work is coming along: Electrical and plumbing are done and inspection completed. Drywall is being done this week and next; carpet after that. The side door that we needed to replace is installed. Drinking fountain that we’re required to have is installed. On our end of things, we have a lot of painting to do, and then the final set-up and cleaning. Here’s how you can help: We will have two painting days: Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11, 5-9pm both days. We could use as many hands as possible. The following week we will need help setting everything up (building book cases, putting legs on tables, moving chairs into place, dusting/cleaning). We will have two work parties: Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18, 5-9 pm both days. Again, could use lots of help! Please let Derek know if you can make any of these days. |
